The vineyard of the Slopes of the Tailboard
History :
The vine is present for a very long time in Anjou. But they are the Dutch traders who made develop the vineyard of the edges of the Tailboard since 1579 (the high alcoholic strengths reached allowed a better conservation at the time of the voyages). Harvest by sort succesives botrytized bunches is indexed since the XVIII ème century.
Grounds :
One finds schist terraces and sandstone of the Armorican base, brown and not very deep grounds (levelling bed rock) of black Anjou.
Climate :
It is of oceanic type moderated and particularly dryness. The zones delimited in name correspond to situations of well exposed and ventilated slopes which support the precocity of the vegetation.
