The domain Mount

The Domain Mount is a family of 26 hectares in the municipality of Faye d’Anjou, in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon. For three generations, the family cultivates the vine ROBIN traditional way and produced most of the appellations of Anjou.

Half of the surface is for the sweet wines that are Bonnezeaux and Coteaux du Layon. The other half is divided between red (Red Anjou and Anjou Villages), rosé wines (Rosé de Loire, Cabernet d’Anjou, Rosé d’Anjou) and white wines (Anjou Blanc, Sauvignon) or sparkling white (Anjou Method traditional).

History: Vines are very long in Anjou. But it was the Dutch traders who did develop the vineyard on the banks of the Layon from 1579 (the high alcoholic content with better preservation allowed lor s trips). Successive harvest by sort of botrytis grapes is listed since the eighteenth century.

floors: There are terraces of sandstone and shale bedrock Armorican, brown soils and shallow (bedrock flush) Black of Anjou.

climate: It is oceanic temperate and particularly dry. The areas enclosed by name correspond to situations of exposed slopes and broken that promote early plant growth.
